Founded in 1955, Perfection has grown from a small spring manufacturer into a modern-day engineering and manufacturing partner—producing high-precision stampings, springs, wireforms, assemblies, and prototypes for customers around the globe. And while today’s innovations include robotic foam-cell application automation, Faro 3D CMM systems, and Keyence vision inspection, we’d be remiss not to take a moment to honor one of our proudest early tech milestones…
The Year Was 1969
The moon landing? Sure, that was big. But here at Perfection? We bought our first “Calculator”! That’s right. In a time when “cutting-edge” meant punch cards and rotary phones, our team was buzzing with
excitement over this marvel of modern mathematics. We even featured it in our customer newsletter—an analog precursor to today’s blog posts (and yes, it was printed on actual paper).
Back then, the calculator was a symbol of progress. It represented our ongoing commitment to embracing technology that drives smarter, faster, and more accurate results. And while it might not be as photogenic as those gravity-defying hairstyles from the '80s, we couldn’t have been prouder.
