Custom Metal Components for Architectural, Window & Glazing Systems

Perfection Spring & Stamping manufactures commercial window hardware components, glazing clips, brackets, springs and wire forms in high-volume production for the OEMs and fabricators that build window, curtain wall, storefront and entrance systems. We are a custom component manufacturer. We make the metal part that goes into your assembly and leave glazing, fabrication and installation to you. Programs run from 30,000 pieces to more than 3 million per year, built to your print on tooling we build in-house.

This page covers architectural metal stampings and formed parts for glazing systems. For structural supports and equipment components, see our construction industry page.

Commercial Window Hardware and Glazing Components We Manufacture

These are the part families we build for window and glazing OEMs. If your print falls between categories, send it and we will tell you which process fits.

  • Glazing clips. Stamped and formed custom metal clips that retain, locate or secure parts inside glazing and framing assemblies.
  • Window retaining clips. Spring clips, metal retaining clips and mounting clips for commercial window assemblies.
  • Brackets. Mounting, support and structural brackets stamped to your print.
  • Curtain wall components. Stamped brackets for curtain wall assemblies, plus clips, retainers and formed parts for façade systems.
  • Storefront framing components. Stamped and formed hardware for commercial storefront and glazing systems.
  • Door and entrance components. Brackets, clips, springs, retainers and other formed hardware for commercial entrances.

Parts that need spring action or a wire profile come from the same plant. That includes flat springs, custom fasteners, retainers, custom spring clips and custom wire forms. Because stamped and wire-formed parts ship from one facility, they share one quality system and one supplier relationship.

Commercial Window and Glazing Systems We Build Parts For

Each system asks something different of a small metal part, such as holding force in a glazing pocket or cycle life in door hardware. Use the notes below to match a part family to your interface.

  • Commercial windows. Clips and retainers hold the glass, brackets anchor the unit to the structure, and springs and wire forms drive operable hardware. These commercial window components are built to your print.
  • Curtain wall and façade systems. Curtain wall brackets carry the frame back to the structure, while clips and fastening components locate panels and mullions.
  • Storefront framing systems. Custom metal components for aluminum framing and glazing assemblies, held to the dimensions your extrusion interface requires.
  • Commercial entrances and doors. Springs, clips, retainers and brackets for window and door metal components that see repeated cycling.
  • Skylights and architectural glass. Architectural glazing components for overhead and specialty glass: retaining, fastening, mounting and positioning parts.
  • Interior glass and partition systems. Clips, retainers, brackets and formed window hardware components for interior glass walls and partitions.

Manufacturing Capabilities Built for High-Volume OEM Programs

PSS sits upstream of your assembly line. We do not install windows, fabricate frames or supply finished glass, which keeps our scope on one job: producing formed metal parts that hold dimension from the first piece to the millionth. We choose the process from part geometry, material, volume and cost.

On one automotive program, a single assembly combined stamping, wire forming and spring coiling at 325,000 pieces per year, and the redesign saved that customer $890,000. The same combined approach is available for glazing assemblies that mix stamped and wire-formed parts. Read the case study.

Materials for Glazing and Framing Interfaces

Aluminum framing is the usual mating surface in this market, so we start material selection with what the part touches and what it has to resist. We review that pairing with you during print review, and we coordinate plating and other finishing through our qualified supplier network as part of the program.

  • Stainless steel for clips, fasteners and retainers exposed to moisture, where corrosion resistance matters.
  • Carbon and spring steel for springs, spring clips and wire forms that must hold retention force through repeated cycles.
  • Aluminum for formed brackets and clips matched to aluminum framing members.
  • Copper and brass where the design calls for them.

Request a Quote for Your Window and Glazing Components

Send us your print with material, tolerance, and annual volume. We will review the design, flag cost-saving options and return a quote built around your volume and schedule. Once parts are in production, we can pre-pack them in your packaging and ship directly to your distributors.

Questions About Glazing and Window Components

A 2D print with full dimensional callouts and the material specification is the standard starting point, and a 3D CAD file speeds up geometry review. Tolerances, finish requirements and annual volume let us return a more accurate quote. If you do not have a finished print yet, we work through the design with you.

Flat parts that blank, form and coin in sequence usually run best in a die. Clips with multiple bends or a wire section often finish in one pass on a slide machine or a wire former. We settle the process during print review, based on geometry, material, volume and cost.

The tooling we build for your program belongs to you once your tooling costs are paid. We maintain and store the dies in our facility for the life of the program.

We hold IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 certification. If your program requires a PPAP submission, our quality team manages the full package, including dimensional reports and material certifications.

Yes. We supply prototypes and short-run samples for design confirmation before production parts, and first article parts are submitted for your approval before we move into full production.
