Stamped Computer Components for Computers, Printers, Servers, and Semiconductors

Perfection Spring & Stamping manufactures metal stamped parts for the computer, printer, server, and semiconductor industries, working from aluminum, copper, & steel materials to produce components that meet the dimensional and functional requirements your assemblies demand. Our operation is built to run at volume, producing electronic metal stampings at quantities from 100,000 parts to programs that exceed 3 million pieces per year without compromising the dimensional consistency your assemblies require.

We have partnered with leading manufacturers in the electronics sector to deliver high-volume electronic metal stampings on timelines that match the pace of new product introductions in this market. Whether your program calls for processor heat sink stampings, busbars, structural server rack bracketry, or precision semiconductor hardware, we build parts to print and have them production-ready when your schedule requires them.

Computer, Printer, and Server Components We Produce

The range of metal components inside a computer, printer, or server enclosure is broad, and we manufacture across that range. Our work in this market includes server rack brackets, fan motor housings, drive mounting hardware, enclosure panels, sheet metal covers, and processor heat sink stampings. We also produce EMI shielding components for electronic assemblies where signal integrity is a design requirement.

Material selection follows the function on every program. Aluminum is our standard choice for heat sink stampings because of its thermal conductivity and weight advantage. E-coated steel brings corrosion resistance to structural components that operate inside enclosures where moisture exposure is a concern. Electro-galvanized material is used where a cost-effective corrosion barrier is specified and the coating profile needs to stay dimensionally consistent with downstream assembly fits.

Metal Stamped Parts for Semiconductor Manufacturing

The semiconductor industry requires a level of dimensional precision and material discipline that goes beyond what most general stamping suppliers are prepared to handle. We produce electronic metal stampings for semiconductor equipment and packaging where consistent part geometry, controlled material flatness, and verified surface condition are requirements rather than targets. As semiconductor devices continue to shrink and operating frequencies climb, the hardware surrounding them has to be manufactured to closer tolerances to keep pace.

Heat Spreaders and Thermal Management Components

Heat management is one of the most consequential engineering problems in semiconductor design. We stamp heat spreaders from aluminum and copper, depending on the thermal conductivity the specific chip package or module requires. These components need to be flat within tight tolerances to ensure full surface contact with the die, and our tooling and in-process controls are built around delivering that consistency across high-volume production releases. Processor heat sink stampings for semiconductor modules fall under this same manufacturing discipline and are a direct extension of the heat sink work we already perform for computer OEM customers.

EMI Shielding Cans and Enclosures

Semiconductor circuit boards and modules operating at high clock speeds generate electromagnetic interference that can corrupt nearby signals if the shielded area is not properly enclosed. We produce stamped EMI shielding cans and enclosures from aluminum and e-coated steel for board-level shielding in semiconductor and computing equipment. Wall height, footprint dimensions, and seating geometry are held to close tolerances on these parts to ensure proper placement on the PCB and reliable performance of the shielded zone across production volumes.

Mounting Clips, Retention Hardware, and Socket Components

Semiconductor packages require precise mounting and retention hardware to maintain correct contact force and mechanical position throughout the product's service life. We produce stamped spring clips, retainers, retention brackets, and contact components for semiconductor and high-density computing programs. Our fourslide/multislide capabilities handle the multi-directional form geometries these parts typically require without adding secondary forming operations to the production flow, which keeps per-part cost lower at volume.

Additional Stamping and Forming Capabilities for Electronic Assemblies

Beyond processor heat sink stampings and enclosure hardware, we produce copper and stainless compression springs for printer feed mechanisms and drive retention assemblies, along with extension springs for chassis door and panel mechanisms. We also manufacture wireforms for grounding contacts and PCB clip components.

The PETS System: Accelerated Tooling for Fast-Moving Programs

The computer, server, and semiconductor markets run on compressed product introduction cycles. A tool build that takes longer than your launch window allows puts your delivery date at risk before production has started. We track all programs through the APQP process, specifically to close the gap between approved quote and first production parts to meet program SOP dates on time, every time!

Our APQP system (Which we call PETS) is a structured engineering coordination process where our design, tooling, and quality teams work a new program concurrently rather than sequentially. When your print comes in, tool design, material procurement, and quality planning begin in parallel rather than in a queue behind one another. The result is a faster path from approved quote to first article inspection, and from first article to full production release. For customers in the electronics and semiconductor industries, where a compressed launch window is the norm, PETS is the practical reason our timing fits your program schedule, where a conventional sequential process would not.

Frequently Asked Questions

PETS stands for Project Engineering Team System, essentially an APQP system. We developed it specifically for the computer, printer, and server market, where new product introduction cycles are short and the time between an approved quote and first production parts has to fit inside a compressed launch window. The result is rapid response on new programs and accelerated tool build timing that allows you to meet your delivery commitments. If your program has a fixed launch date and a conventional tool build timeline would put that date at risk, contact us to discuss how PETS fits your schedule.

We run aluminum, e-coated steel, electro-galvanized steel, copper, and stainless steel, depending on what the part requires. Aluminum is standard for heat sink stampings and lightweight enclosure components. E-coated steel is used where corrosion protection is needed inside an enclosure environment. Electro-galvanized material is specified when the coating thickness needs to stay consistent at assembly interfaces. Copper is used in shielding and terminal components that require electrical conductivity, as well as for busbars.

Yes. We stamp heat spreaders from aluminum and copper for semiconductor packaging and module programs. The critical characteristic of these parts is flatness; the spreader needs full contact across the die surface, which means our tooling and process inspection both control flatness as a primary output variable. Submit your print and we will confirm what tolerances we can hold and how we will verify them at incoming and in-process inspection.

We support full PPAP submissions, dimensional layout reports, and material certifications. First article inspection packages are available for programs that require them. Our quality system is structured to meet the supplier documentation requirements common across electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. Visit our quality assurance page for a full overview of what we support.

Yes. We produce stamped shielding cans and enclosures for board-level EMI shielding in both computing and semiconductor equipment. The manufacturing requirements differ somewhat between a consumer computing product and a semiconductor module running at higher frequencies, and we work from your print and shielding specification to determine what tolerances and materials apply to your specific program.

Surface finish and plating options depend on the material and the performance specification on your print. We offer finishing services and can coordinate plating for your program. Bring your finish specification during the quoting process so we can confirm availability and include it in the quote.
