|Material Type and Alloy||Benefits and Applications|
|Type 301||Available in five tempers: ¼ Hard, ½ Hard, ¾ Hard, Full Hard, Extra-Hard|
|Type 302||Best for all-purpose use. Available in five tempers: Annealed, ¼ Hard, ½ Hard, ¾ Hard, Full Hard, Extra-Hard.|
|Type 304 (Annealed)||With the low carbon content, this is great for highly ductile requirements.|
|Type 305 (Annealed)||This has a much lower rate of work hardening. Used for drawn and electronic parts.|
|Type 316 (Annealed)||Great corrosion resistance to most chemicals, sales & acids in salty environments.|
|17/7-PH Conditions A & C||This can be heat-treated for further hardening purposes.|
|Type 410 (Annealed, Pre-Tempered)||This is not recommended for severe corrosion environments.|
|Type 420 (Annealed)||The principle application for Dental and Surgical Instruments.|
