Material Type and Alloy | Benefits and Applications |
Type 301 | Available in five tempers: ¼ Hard, ½ Hard, ¾ Hard, Full Hard, Extra-Hard |
Type 302 | Best for all-purpose use. Available in five tempers: Annealed, ¼ Hard, ½ Hard, ¾ Hard, Full Hard, Extra-Hard. |
Type 304 (Annealed) | With the low carbon content, this is great for highly ductile requirements. |
Type 305 (Annealed) | This has a much lower rate of work hardening. Used for drawn and electronic parts. |
Type 316 (Annealed) | Great corrosion resistance to most chemicals, sales & acids in salty environments. |
17/7-PH Conditions A & C | This can be heat-treated for further hardening purposes. |
Type 410 (Annealed, Pre-Tempered) | This is not recommended for severe corrosion environments. |
Type 420 (Annealed) | The principle application for Dental and Surgical Instruments. |
Type 430 (Annealed) | This is magnetic in all conditions and is highly corrosion and heat resistant. |
We can provide edge conditions including edge rolled or Skiving.
We purchase certified materials including all chemistry details. This allows us the ability to trace every finished part back to the actual raw material heat and lot, as well as size, grade, Rockwell hardness, and temper.
